01 — Mix
Empty one sachet into at least 8 fl oz of water. Stir well and drink promptly, before it thickens. Follow it with a second glass of water.
02 — It gels
Psyllium is a soluble fibre. On contact with water it absorbs many times its own weight and forms a soft gel, rather than simply passing through. That gel is the part that adds bulk and softness.
03 — Keep going
Take it once a day, ideally about 30 minutes before a meal. Consistency matters far more than timing.
What to expect, honestly
Day one to three. Psyllium typically works within 12 to 72 hours, and most people notice the first difference in the first day or two. Easier, softer, more complete.
Week one. Things settle into a rhythm. Predictable, rather than a lottery.
Weeks two to four. Less of that heavy, end-of-day bloating — the gap between how you feel at 8am and at 7pm gets smaller.
Some people get mild gas or bloating in the first few days while their body adjusts to the extra fibre. It usually passes within a week.
If you're new to fibre
Start with half a sachet daily for the first week, then build up to a full one. Increase your water intake alongside it. Going from very little fibre to a lot overnight is the most common reason people give up.
Important
Take this product with at least 8 ounces of liquid. Taking it without enough liquid may cause choking. Do not take it if you have difficulty swallowing.
Psyllium may affect how some medications are absorbed. Take it at least two hours before or after anything else, and check with your doctor.
