FAQ

How long before I notice anything?

Psyllium typically works within 12 to 72 hours, so most people notice the first difference in the first day or two. It takes about a week to settle into a predictable rhythm, and two to four weeks before end-of-day bloating eases.

Is this a laxative?

There's no senna, cascara or stimulant of any kind. Psyllium is a soluble fibre that works by absorbing water and forming a soft gel — mechanically, not by forcing anything.

Will it upset my stomach at first?

Some people get mild gas or bloating in the first few days while their body adjusts to the extra fibre. It usually settles within a week. Starting on half a sachet and building up helps a lot.

When should I take it?

Once a day, ideally about 30 minutes before a meal. Consistency matters more than timing.

I've never taken fibre before. Where do I start?

Half a sachet daily for the first week, then build to a full one. Increase your water at the same time.

Can I take it with medication?

Psyllium may affect how some medicines are absorbed. Take it at least two hours before or after anything else, and check with your doctor.

Why sachets instead of a tub?

The dose is measured for you, it travels, and there's nothing to scoop or spill. It also means the fibre isn't sitting open absorbing moisture between uses.
