Arva is Latin for fields. Cultivated land — the ground things are grown in. It seemed the right name for a company built on a single plant.
That plant is Plantago ovata, grown mostly in dry soil. Its seed husk is psyllium: a soluble fibre, and one of the most studied there is. It has been used the same way for a very long time. There is no newer, cleverer version of it.
That is why we built the product around it, rather than around a proprietary blend with a trademark after it.
Why the formula is short
Most of this category adds ingredients to make the label look impressive. We would rather the label were short and the reason were obvious.
Psyllium husk does the work. Ginger and tamarind are there for digestive comfort. Four enzymes support the breakdown of food. That is the entire formula. If an ingredient isn't doing a job, it isn't in there.
What we don't do
No stimulants. No senna. No laxatives. Nothing that forces anything.
We also don't talk about weight, and we don't make promises about how you'll look. Fibre supports regular, comfortable digestion. That's a good enough reason on its own.
